And this is what I found. I remembered years ago reading reports on the discovery of a boat in 1954, buried in pieces 4500 years ago in a pit next to the pyramid. There is a NOVA video that you can watch at the link. |

A large and exact model gives one an easier overview of the whole large and elegant vessel. I suspect, that like most vessel of the time and all of the temples and other structures, it, too, had been elaborately painted. Just my guess, that's all. Small models from in various museums around the world seem to imply that |
